EDT
12 Essential Driver Lessons
Before you can do a driving test in Ireland, you must have completed your 12 EDT
driving lessons.
Our ADIs are approved by the RSA (RoadSafety Authority) to deliver your EDT
training and prepare you for the RSA examiners to approve and pass you.
You can apply for your test online prior to commencing your EDT training. However,
please note, your test cannot be scheduled by the RSA until all your 12 EDT lessons
are completed with an ADI.

Automatic and Manual EDT driving lessons in North Dublin.
We deliver EDT lessons in both Automatic and Manual and will do a pretest
experience which will prepare you in advance of your test. Get Driving Safe is an approved RSA Driving School.
Reduced EDT (Redt) 6 Lessons
Eligible International Licences holders.
If your country doesn’t have a licence exchange agreement with Ireland, you may be eligible
for Reduced essential driver training (Redt) which speeds up the process of getting your new Irish licence.
Reduced edts allows you to complete 6 EDT sessions instead of 12 and you don’t
have to wait six months to sit a test.
Before you can do a driving test in Ireland, you must have completed your 6 Redt
driving lessons.
Our Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) are approved by the Road Safety Authority
(RSA) to deliver your EDT training and prepare you for them to test, approve and
pass you.
